Statement of clarification
ALEXBANK and all its employees send their sorrowful condolences to the family of Hassan Mohamed, colleague at Assuit branch, who recently passed away due to the novel Coronavirus, asking God for his blessings and mercy.
Our colleague Hassan has passed away on Thursday the 9th of April at the quarantine hospital to which he was admitted since the 30th of March. Despite receiving all the necessary treatments by a specialized medical team, Hassan condition suddenly worsened and passed away.
ALEXBANK confirms that since the case was discovered two weeks ago, the bank closed its Assiut branch. All employees working in the premises, even if not in direct contact with the affected employee, were immediately checked by a medical team and sent home undergoing a self-quarantine period, as per precautions recommended by the Egyptian Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization. The bank’s medical team remained in constant contact with the employees in order to intervene if necessary. ALEXBANK confirms that employees and customers’ health & safety comes on top of its priority list and that has already and will keep taking all the necessary preventive measures to assure the maximum protection to everyone, in a proactive manner.
Since the emergence of the novel Coronavirus globally, the bank has formed a committee to follow up on the latest developments and take necessary measures to protect its employees and customers, while assuring the maximum possible service continuity. The bank continues in the sanitization process of all its branches, in accordance with health and safety standards.
The bank has published clear behavioral guidelines in all its branches and asks all its clients and employees to keep cooperating in abiding to these protective instructions for the safety of everyone.
