Intesa Sanpaolo was recognized as the Best European Bank and the Best Italian Company for Relations with Financial Analysts and Institutional Investors and for ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) aspects, according to the 2021 ranking drawn up by Institutional Investor, the specialized and leading research company.
Intesa Sanpaolo earned the gold ranking of Institutional Investor, and at the top of the podium is also its management, where the Managing Director and CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo, Carlo Messina, was named the “Best CEO of European Banks” for the fourth year, along with Stefano Del Punta as the “Best CFO”, and Marco Delfrate as the top ranked Investor Relations Professional.
The recognition is a result of the group’s efforts, as ISP is the only Italian institution listed for this prestigious recognition, especially considering the challenges that the COVID-19 pandemic brought to all businesses around the world. Despite the hardships that the whole world faced, Intesa Sanpaolo focused on maintaining a solid and strong performance, delivering quality services to its investment partners all over the world.
The rankings assigned by Institutional Investor are based on the results of an extensive survey conducted among approximately 2,000 financial analysts and institutional investors, representing more than 900 companies.
In December 2020, Intesa Sanpaolo was also named “Bank of the Year in Western Europe” and “Bank of the Year in Italy” by The Banker -Financial Times Group. The award marked the first time an Italian bank received the recognition as best bank in Western Europe.
